a road trip without my pumpkin

Today I hit the open road, just me, my car, my passport, and a cooler. But no baby Jo Jo. My wonderful mother watched her so that I could finally meet the beautiful, debonair, and gracious Lindsay from Solo Mama and her sweetie, little Evelyn.  We’d both been looking forward to our day together for quite a while, and our adventure in London met and exceeded our expectations.

The only drawback was not being able to cross the border with Jo Jo, and leaving her behind. On the other hand, how much adult conversation can really happen with two babies to keep happy? Miss Evie lived up to her new reputation as an easy travel baby… not sure how it would’ve gone with both little ones, but we surely would’ve done a lot more moving and a lot less sitting!

It ended up being the perfect meeting, on a beautiful day in what appears to be the quirky, green, and clean city of London. Hopefully there will be more adventures soon to come with these two lovely ladies! I only wish I could squish our two hometowns a little closer together, because this woman is really something special.

Anyone a reader of both Lindsay and I’s blogs?

I’ve been following Lindsay since tumblr and I am now here.
I’ve enjoyed reading your journey as well.

  2. Yay! Glad you guys had a wonderful time. I’ve been following Lindsay for a while (since she was first pregnant)…and I followed you on tumblr…just started following you on here, after Lindsay mentioned you (I didn’t have wordpress when you made the switch). I have a lot of catching up to do! 🙂
