shopping

I partook in a guilty pleasure yesterday: baby shopping! I gave into my pre-programmed commercial capitalist upbringing, and entered a Babies R’Us. I was a kid in a candy shop, but I think I did fairly well. I came out with purchases that I was pretty much going to buy anyway. What I wasn’t planning on buying was this super cute dressy vest, under which I am going to put a striped pink plaid button up shirt:

This outfit will balance out the other outfit that I have planned for her 6 month photo shoot, a poofy pink tutu skirt hand-made by my last nurse extern. Something like this:

I also bought what I went into the store for in the first place: an ultra-lite travel stroller that folds up quickly, is carried easily, and yet fully reclines for a sleeping baby. I ended up with something much like this (with a weight of 12.4 lbs):

I also bought a combi lock so that I can lock it while taking the baby out of it, and a rain cover. All of this for our upcoming travels to the California coast, which you can read about in more detail on my travel blog.

Also on my “baby in California” wishlist, the following outfits from The Tea Collection:
