pregnancy and infant loss day

I was at a foster care training at 7pm, so I thought I’d light my candle later. But alas, I couldn’t find a candle. After the walk to remember, the pregnant patient, and some very emotional days thinking of my gone baby before that, I need some sand to temporarily stick my head into.

The day started with my donor texting me, passing on good thoughts on International Pregnancy and Infant Loss Day. And so I end my day in the same way, passing on my warmest thoughts to the other baby loss moms I know, in real life and on the internet.

May peace find its way into our hearts, even as we mourn forever.

  1. Have you heard of the new book “Sunshine After the Storm: A Survival Guide for the Grieving Mother”? A few bloggers contributed to it, it’s supposed to be really helpful for long term grieving.
