Who knows what is going to happen tomorrow morning at court!
I’ve had the whole day off, so besides being very tired from working all week, I get to spend the day with my rambunctious little toddler. I’m so excited to give her the baby drum set I got her for her birthday, and I’m also winning an ebay bid for an Elmo tool bench. This is because she is crazy obsessed with screwdrivers, hammers, and any other tools with handles. She’s suddenly very interested in Sesame Street. She gets very excited when the song comes on, and giggles to herself whenever Elmo comes on. I watched it as a kid, too, so I record it and we watch the Elmo parts together every day. The only other show I watch with her for about 5 minutes is Mickey Mouse clubhouse, because she recognizes Mickey.
She’s always super excited when music comes on, and she dances (bounces and sways) and claps and chuckles. We are currently listening to Walt Disney’s Children’s Favorites Vol. 1, because I used to sing it with my niece. It’s got all the classic children’s songs on it.
Mostly, though, Jo Jo just likes to be with me. She likes anything as long as we’re doing it together, whether it’s reading books or sorting shapes in a bucket or singing along with Elmo. She gets a little whiny and upset if I do something that shifts my focus away from her for too many minutes.
