taxes- update

It is hard to give me a social when none was ever assigned to her! Apparently, the birth mom is supposed to complete the process that assigns a SSN to an infant while at the hospital, and she didn’t. And foster care being foster care, no one had noticed this.

But my worker is awesome, she contacted DHS and is getting the application in the mail today. Guess completing my taxes is going to have to wait… so much for getting them done “early” this year!\

*UPDATE AGAIN*

Nevermind! Just got a call from the adoption worker- DHS found her SSN! Woohoo! Isn’t my agency fast?
