exhaustion and the farm

I knew I had to work a night shift tonight (I’m forced to rotate to nights every once in a while), so I was excited when at 6:30 my little miss got up but fell asleep again, and slept until 9! I went to bed with her at 8:30pm last night and went right to sleep. Then my mom offered to let me nap, so I slept another hour and a half around noon. I am SO TIRED, all the time, and here I am adding to the problem by staying up all night to work.

In any case, my mom went into “the city” where I work to pick up a relative from the airport, which was perfect as it gave me a reason to take Jo Jo with me before work and do something fun. I didn’t have to bring her all the way back home because my mom could take her back from the airport. We were able to have dinner and run around in the mall at the same time (and I do mean RUN around, my kiddo ran full-speed through the halls and mastered the “climbing up a slide” technique in the play area).

Before that, we hung out at the petting farm. All I can say was that it was total cuteness. My girl had such a blast petting the goats, feeding the pigs, and chasing ducks (they also chased us, vicious little things). She was so gentle (which we work on constantly) when she petted the rabbits, cat, and donkey. I was very proud and glad that all of our hard work on the cats at home has paid off. Well, at least in public places. She still pulls the cats’ tails at home and is quite rough with us humans.
