“M”isms

My kiddo is finally speaking a bit and able to crack me up. I wanted to record some of the cute and funny things she says nowadays:

[Pointing to my chest as I put on my pajama shirt]
“Boob! Mama, boob!”
[Pulling shirt down over my chest]
“Bye, boob! Bye!”

————

[Pointing up at the sky]
“Ih duh skaaaaaa-ey” (It’s the sky)
[Looking all around]
“Moo? Mama, moo?” (Moon?)
Me: “There’s no moon right now, the moon isn’t out”
[Waving her hands frantically in gesture of helplessness]
“Ubuh ida buh da MOOO! Uh bida bud da MOOO!” (But I don’t see the MOON! I don’t see the MOON!)

————

[Poking me in the eye in the morning in bed]
“Hi. Hi mama. Aaa-eeeee. Aaaa-eeee. Mama aaaa-eeee.” (Hi mama. Eye. Eye)
[Poke, poke]
“Mama? Hi! Poo-poo.” [signing change diaper]
“Poo-poo mama. Mama hi, poo poo.”

————

As you can see, she will do anything to get me up in the morning, whether or not she had poop in her diaper. And her obsession with the moon is never-ending. She gets real upset when she can’t see it in the night sky. She looks for it in books, on TV, everywhere. Even as a baby she was taken with the night sky, from the very first time she saw it. She definitely feels a deep connection to the moon, stars, and sky. Maybe it was fated that her bedroom be owl-themed, as she is so into the celestial night!
