So day 2 didn’t go nearly as well as day 1. Not because M had any accidents… she didn’t have any. She just refused to go! She sat on the potty, but no pee, no poo. During her nap, she peed in a diaper. But afterwards, she was back on strike. I gave her tons of juice, water, and popsicle. We then tried to bribe her. We let her watch videos on the potty to pass time and help her relax. Nothing worked. She would say she needed to go, sit there, but nothing ever happened.
I came over to my mom’s tonight, and at first it was the same. She wore undies in the car and they stayed dry. My mom and I took her to the potty several times, and nothing. Then, finally, at 7:30pm, my mom took her and she went! Jeez louise. Her bladder is like an iron crypt! We had a big celebration, with lots of spinning around (her favorite thing), which she calls “wee!”.
Let’s see what happens on day 3… especially since I have to leave in the afternoon for school! My mom will be on her own.
