reverse bucket list

I recently read someone’s “Reverse Bucket List” and thought it was a great idea. Instead of listing the things you still want to do before you die, you list the things you’ve already done that you consider amazing, perfect, exciting, exhilarating, or special. If you die tomorrow, your reverse bucket list is already complete!

Here’s mine:

Became a mom
Explored Southeast Turkey
Got my black belt in karate
Spoke in a foreign language to native people
Did a medical service trek in the Himalayas
Did foster care
Traveled to Asia by myself
Bought my cottage
Helped my grandpa die peacefully at home
Got my bachelor’s degree
Helped save a life (or two)
Rode an elephant in the jungle
Traveled to Europe with my daughter
Learned and played a musical instrument with proficiency
Fell in love and was loved in return
Planted and grew a garden
Hugged a Redwood

Can’t wait to see what else gets added to my list!

Mother by fostering, adoption, and marriage... wife to my best friend... Bay area critical care nurse... travel in my blood, reading in my bones, clean food on my mind!

  1. I love this! I mean, I really like the idea of a bucket list too, but this is great as a way to remember all those things you can already check off! 🙂
