Jo Jo has always slept in my room, whether in the bassinet or crib. Her nursery, therefore, became a sort of storage space for her stuff and clothes. At one point, it was literally just piles of baby stuff and I kept the door closed at all times. So my Christmas gift to myself was an improved nursery where her toys (now that she has them) can be organized but also accessible to her, and where she can be changed and dressed. She can play in there without me supervising closely because it is totally baby-proofed.
Please note, the pack-n-play is not her sleeping space (not allowed in foster care); she sleeps in her crib in my room. I use the changing table on the pack-n-play, though, since she bounced on the old changing table and broke it. Guess it wasn’t meant to handle a 20 pound baby! The grey storage bin is full of 18 month clothes that she will be wearing soon. The toy bins were a gift to myself for Christmas, and a much needed addition!
This cruising table (formerly exersaucer) will soon be retired. It lived in the living room for six months, and I think she’s pretty much over it, but she is now enjoying it again in its new location. The bookshelf behind it is one of my favorite things, especially now that she loves reading so much. The shopping cart was mine as a kid, and hasn’t interested her a ton, yet. But I know it will.
I love these cube organizers. Books or toys can be stored there, and I have also used the “drawers” for clothes she’s outgrown that I’m going to put away or save for her baby clothes quilt. The Noah’s Ark was also a toy that I had as a child, and the framed photo on the wall was a gift from Moose’s bio grandma the day he went home to his parents for good.
Looks great!
I love that style of book shelf! I need to look into that myself. I had that exact shopping cart when I was little! So sturdy! Most of what I’ve found for toy shopping carts are so flimsy. I love the giraffe print on the wall!
Wow I love that green activity table!! Where did you get it? The room looks beautiful and like it would be such a fun place to play. Nice job!
That is the Triple Fun ExerSaucer. It goes from a floor activity gym to an exersaucer to a cruising table.
Beautiful room
